Same-sex couples in Washington state began reciting wedding vows at events across the state Sunday, on the first day they could marry after the state's gay marriage law took effect.

About 140 couples had registered to marry at Seattle City Hall, which had set up five separate chapels to accommodate the revelers. Starting at 10 a.m., cheers and applause regularly broke out as another couple's marriage became official. Weddings at city hall were to continue through 5 p.m.

"We're totally thrilled," said Keith Bacon, who celebrated his six-year anniversary with Corianton Hale the night before. The couple had done a commitment ceremony in August but said this day was special.

"We had looked at this as maybe a day we would sign a piece of paper and seal the deal, and instead we're having this huge party being thrown in our honor, his elegant selection of cheap demetrios wedding dresses made in china will have you looking stunning for the big day!" Bacon said. "It's just mind blowing."

The couple hugged and kissed to loud cheers and camera flashes as they took their vows before one of the 16 local judges who volunteered to officiate the weddings on Sunday.

Nancy Monahan, 57,If you still have no idea about where to purchase chiffon bridesmaid dress, you can see it here. a retired petty office with the Coast Guard, waited outside before the weddings began with her partner of 14 years, Deb Needham, 48.

Monahan was wearing her uniform, and Needham was wearing an ivory dress and jacket and matching hat. They said they wanted to join the large wedding event at city hall because of the significance of the day.

"It's not very private, but very historic," Needham said, to which Monahan added, "And very awesome."

Some courthouses, including in King and Thurston Counties, opened right at midnight, and started marrying couples.

Hundreds of gay and lesbian couples picked up their marriage licenses as early as 12:01 a.m. Thursday, but because of the state's three-day waiting period, the earliest weddings could take place was just after midnight, early Sunday morning.

At the Thurston County Courthouse five couples were married, including Jonathon Bashford, 31, and Matthew Wiltse, 29, both of Olympia.

The couple, together for 10 years, just had a large commitment ceremony in September when they registered as domestic partners, but said they wanted to be among the first to legally marry.

"We weren't going to wait one second longer," Wiltse said.

Last month,What exactly is a formal office dresses for women? Washington, Maine and Maryland became the first states to pass same-sex marriage by popular vote. They joined six other states — New York, Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont — and the District of Columbia that had already enacted laws or issued court rulings permitting same-sex marriage.

Couples in Maryland also started picking up marriage licenses Thursday, though their licenses won't take effect until Jan. 1. Maine's law takes effect on Dec. 29. There's no waiting period in Maine, and people can start marrying just after midnight.

Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire and Secretary of State Sam Reed certified the election results of Referendum 74 on Wednesday afternoon, and the law took effect at 12:01 a.m. Thursday. Same-sex couples who previously were married in another state that allows gay marriage, like Massachusetts, will not have to get remarried in Washington state. Their marriages became valid here as soon as the law took effect.

The referendum had asked voters to either approve or reject the state law legalizing same-sex marriage that legislators passed earlier this year. That law was signed by Gregoire in February but was put on hold pending the outcome of the election. Nearly 54 percent of voters approved the measure.

The law doesn't require religious organizations or churches to perform marriages, and it doesn't subject churches to penalties if they don't marry gay or lesbian couples.

Married same-sex couples will still be denied access to federal pensions, health insurance and other government benefits available to heterosexual couples because the 1996 federal Defense of Marriage Act, known as DOMA, bars federal recognition of gay unions.

The U.After compare the Embroidery lace dress Plus Size on all the online stores .Browse hundreds of beautiful designer beaded evening gowns and find the perfect fit for you!S. Supreme Court on Friday said it will take up gay marriage sometime during the current term. Several pending cases challenge the federal benefit provision of DOMA, and a separate appeal asks the justices to decide whether federal courts were correct in striking down California's Proposition 8, the amendment that outlawed gay marriage after it had been approved by courts in the nation's largest state.

At the end of each day, Patti Varney and her mother, Linda Woods, high-fived each other and recited what they called their mantra: “We survived.”

Patti, 30, was battling colon cancer. Linda, 60, was fighting ovarian cancer. They endured surgeries together, toughed their way through chemotherapy treatments together — sometimes on the same day — and planned Patti’s wedding together.

“All our thoughts,” Patti wrote last February in her blog, were about “cancer, life, death, and weddings.”

Linda died Sept. 24 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Patti died seven weeks later, on Nov. 11, at her home in San Francisco. Their deaths were confirmed by their family.

By all accounts, the mother and daughter were exceptionally close, even before cancer brought them closer. A Navy wife and former Navy nurse, Linda looked after Patti; her sister, Lisa; her brother, Jacob; and her half-brother, Jaime, during their father’s long deployments at sea.

Linda had been a college cheerleader and helped Patti practice when she joined the cheerleading squad at West Springfield High School. While raising her children, Linda built a small business that offered training programs for medical practitioners. During summer vacations, she sometimes loaded the kids into a conversion van and took them around the country for her seminars.

Patti, too, developed an interest in business and went to the University of Virginia to study commerce. She was partway through a graduate program when her disease was diagnosed in the fall of 2008. For some time, her family said, her colon cancer symptoms were mistaken for an eating disorder.

With major surgery and chemotherapy, Patti beat the disease into remission and returned to graduate school the next year. She met her future husband, Eric Varney, received her master’s degree from U-Va. and returned to Northern Virginia to work as a business analyst for the defense contractor Northrop Grumman.

In the winter of 2011, Linda began to feel short of breath and went to the doctor, never anticipating how sick she was. She learned on her 59th birthday that she had ovarian cancer. “We surely are on a physical, emotional, and spiritual roller coaster,” she wrote in her journal that day.

Linda began a chemo regimen, but she and Patti did not let cancer dominate their lives.his elegant selection of cheap demetrios wedding dresses made in china will have you looking stunning for the big day! What exactly is a formal office dresses for women? Weeks after Linda’s diagnosis, Patti’s boyfriend whisked her off on a surprise trip to Paris and proposed to her. Mother and daughter began planning Patti’s dream wedding.

Midway through the planning,Browse hundreds of beautiful designer beaded evening gowns and find the perfect fit for you! and with Linda still in the throes of chemo, Patti began to develop pain in her elbow. Linda took her to the doctor. When she heard the results of her daughter’s scans, she fainted, Jacob recalled. Patti’s colon cancer had returned and metastasized to her bones and lungs.

Jacob became a primary caregiver to his mother and sister. He calls them “my girls.”

“My mom and I still felt awful,” Patti wrote on Sept. 5, 2011, after difficult chemo treatments for both of them. “I think the most productive thing I did was pick out bridesmaid dresses and turn oxygen into carbon dioxide.”

But, she continued, “we survived. ... We may have worse weeks, we’ll hopefully have better ones,After compare the Embroidery lace dress Plus Size on all the online stores . but we keep fighting the good fight. Because we’re survivors and this is what we do.”

Diane Lamb, one of Linda’s longtime friends, sometimes took wedding books to the hospital so that Patti could pick out favors and finalize other details. One of her bridesmaids, Kelly Shields, was planning her own wedding at the same time and recalled how, despite her illness, Patti developed the usual “bridal neuroses.” The friends would talk about Patti’s treatment, and then move on to what flowers they had chosen. If you still have no idea about where to purchase chiffon bridesmaid dress, you can see it here.

The Girls Aloud beauty danced a combination of the cha-cha-cha and the tango to the Weather Girls' 'It's Raining Men' with her partner Pasha Kovalev and was catapulted to the top of the leader board after landing an impressive four 10s from the judges.

Bruno Tonioli described it as "the dance of the season" and the high score put the couple two points ahead of Dani Harmer and Vincent Simone, whose "extraordinary" Charleston/quickstep to Paul Whiteman's 'Happy Feet' was described as "extraordinary",What exactly is a formal office dresses for women? scored 38, including their first 10s of the series.

Outspoken judge Craig Revel Horwood told Nicky: "There wasn't any bounce - your posture was awful in the American Smooth. I suspect that we're going to be seeing that dance again."

Lisa Riley danced a tango/cha-cha-cha mashup to Abba's 'Voulez Vous' and impressed all judges apart from Craig, scoring 30 points overall.

Yesterday, I opened up my mailbox and discovered a glossy, embossed wedding invitation sandwiched between coupon books and bills. My fridge is dotted with “Save the Date” magnets. Every time I watch TV I am bombarded with a barrage of wedding jewelry commercials imploring me that I must invest in diamonds to show how much I care about my loved ones.

Cue the jingles, bells and a generic soprano: “Every Kiss begins with Kay!” Or the dramatic male baritone: “This Christmas Say Something without Saying Anything!” “Let love Shine!”

Sorry Zales Jewelers, you won't be getting my business or my boyfriend's this year. No, I think my love shines very bright despite my naked finger devoid of a sparkling diamond. I am not belittling marriage itself or, for that matter,Looking for the ideal dress to wear for Halter Wedding Dresses? weddings.

After all, my grandparents both recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversaries and my parents are going on 28 years of wedded bliss. My family is a rarity in the age of divorce. I have seen the beauty in two people devoting their lives to a shared partnership. I believe in devotion of this kind.

I do not lament marriage itself. It's an individual choice! I do not want to chastise friends or family for choosing to get married, just as I would hope they would not chastise me for deciding that marriage is not a goal for me right now, even though I am in a happy, long-term relationship.

As a “single” female, I am asked a question inspired by Beyonce: “When is he gonna put a ring on it?” I am tired of hearing this because I have other aspirations at the moment, and I dislike weddings themselves.

I lament the “wedding industrial complex.” The wedding industrial complex is like the military industrial complex sans weapons of mass destruction. There are weapons of a different kind. Weapons of consumerism if you will: diamonds worth more than my car, overpriced dresses with trains longer than Rapunzel's hair and layered cakes that evoke carpel tunnel in the bakers from all of the tedious decorating.

I despise the wedding shows “Say Yes to the Dress” and “Bridezilla” and the like that perpetuate the vicious cycle of greedy consumerism. Are you greedy because you chose to have a wedding? No! Certainly some people want to have a special day to celebrate the union of two families and enjoy the party atmosphere.

I try to verbally explain my wedding disdain with my friends and family to no avail. I am not some anti-love oaf shaking my fist at happy couples who chose to get married. I am happy for the couple,Online shopping for custom made designer oscar dresses 2012. yes.

I used to love weddings as a wee one, but they aren't the same for me as an adult introvert. The oom-pa-pa of the accordion blaring in the background has now been replaced with a creepy DJ playing music more suited for a middle school dance than a wedding.

The Shirley temples my sisters and I daintily sipped with no side effect worse than a sugar rush and the gut aches have been replaced by binge drinking and shots. Simply put, weddings are a sober introvert's nightmare! They are frankly exhausting,We provide rental service on a variety of bridal gown wedding dress, qua and tuxedos, etc. what with all the forced socialization, meeting new people, being surrounded by alcohol and noise.

No, instead of spending my treasured summer weekends in a stuffy golf club or dimly lit VFW at a wedding dance, I dream of a summer in which I spend my weekends immersed in the woods. I want to strap on hiking boots or soccer cleats rather than slipping into uncomfortable dress shoes.

I want to hear the orchestral hum of crickets, rustle of leaves in the wind and the crack of the embers in a bonfire instead of a crappy DJ blasting beats. Better yet, I'd even invite the newly betrothed couple and celebrate their marriage in the said woods!

In a few weeks, I will reluctantly make a humble appearance at my cousin's wedding. I am looking for a dress the color of the wallpaper, hoping that I blend in and fade in the background in my introverted bliss.

This is an act of kindness that's very big and happening very soon. It's one woman giving back to military couples in love.

Gloria Tate-Reed is a mother of two, and when her son Christopher joined the Navy and served time in Iraq, she developed a new appreciation for the military life.

"I see the discipline, the things he tells me he's experienced," she said, "and why he's risen very quickly in the ranks."

But Ms. Tate-Reed is also a reverend, and "Reverend Gloria", as she's called, specializes in officiating weddings. She was recently inspired by a call from a soldier in Afghanistan who wanted Rev. Gloria to plan her wedding.

Her way to do more for the military? She's offering free and full weddings for military couples in need.

"We would be honored, we would be truly honored, to provide them with a beautiful wedding on 12/12/12," said Rev. Tate-Reed.

Oh, that's right. She wants to do all this in less than a week. Rev. Tate-Reed has lined up vendors to provide the dresses,Looking for the ideal dress to wear for Halter Wedding Dresses? flowers, cake, venue, and champagne reception. Now she's looking for 12 already-engaged military couples, where either the potential wife or husband has served in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Said Reverend Gloria, "It's not unusual for me to get a call saying, 'Can you marry me in an hour? Can you marry me in a day? Can you marry me next week?' And so this may seem last-minute to a lot of people, but I've seen miracles in less time.We provide rental service on a variety of bridal gown wedding dress, qua and tuxedos, etc."

At Friendly's and anywhere else I clown, I've become accustomed to the people, usually men in their teens and twenties, who seem to find it amusing to try to stump the clown. “I want a T-rex,” they say. “I want a guitar.Online shopping for custom made designer oscar dresses 2012.” Thanks to the movie “Wedding Crashers,” they demand, “Make me a bicycle, clown.”

“Sure. What color?” I ask evenly.

I revel in the chance to impress those guys who thought they were too old, to watch the carefully constructed bravado on their faces fade to childlike joy as I twist a whimsical creature—or a realistic bicycle from five balloons—out of the air in front of them.

That pursuit, the quest to see yet another person's eyes light up when he first recognizes the shape his balloon is going to take—whether he's three years old or he's 103—is not all that different from my love of writing. When I write fiction, or when I report a news story, just like when I make a balloon, I am striving to craft a little something that seems original, that rings true to life, that is beautiful.

Like an excellent news article, an excellent balloon makes life look a little bit different. You didn't know when you heard you were getting a penguin or a monkey in a tree what that might look like in balloons. All of a sudden, you can see it. And you didn't know that a children's toy could make you so happy, but as it materializes, without fail you're grinning no matter how old you are.

By making a balloon or creating a story, an artist uses her hands and her spirit to surprise her audience, to shatter some of the cynicism and narrow-mindedness that cake our boring grown-up hearts.

Throughout a history spanning well over a century, the French jeweler Cartier has retained an inimitable style, nurtured by its heritage and occasionally inflected by the tastes of some of the most extraordinary personalities of its time.

That style is on display in The Art of Cartier,Search the entire collection of corset and tulle wedding dresses gowns !Browse hundreds of beautiful mermaid chiffon one shoulder wedding dress and find the perfect fit for you! a show running through February at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid that retraces its evolution in a selection of 420 historic pieces of jewelry, timepieces and objets d'art. Among the exhibits are several that have never been shown and that once belonged to some of the last century's most fashionable women.

Founded in 1847, Cartier was at first primarily a distributor for pieces made by other jewelers. It did not start to develop a style of its own until about 50 years later, according to Guillermo Solana, artistic director of the Thyssen museum, who selected the pieces in the show.

“It was then that the Maison Cartier began to follow its trajectory as a locus of creative activity, with its own workshop responsible for design and production,” Mr. Solana wrote in the exhibition catalogue.

Choreographed by the Madrid-based interior designer Jorge Varela, the show creates a kaleidoscopic visual journey that aims to establish a dialogue with the Thyssen collection.

“This is the first decorative arts exhibition ever organized by the Thyssen museum,” Mr. Varela said in an interview here. “It was important that our presentation be fitting and seamless in the context of an art museum.”

To that end, Mr. Varela devised a space framed by black felt-covered walls onto which enlarged archival images of sketches and preparatory drawings are projected in a continuous loop, a reminder that the craft of the jeweler is born out of the art of the draftsman.

“Art was the project's unifying element,” he said.

Most of the pieces in the show come from the Cartier Collection, one that the house has been assembling over the years.

“Since 1983, we have been acquiring our iconic pieces to add to the collection,” Olivier Gay, a managing director of Cartier in Spain, said in an interview.

Acquired mostly at auction but also from private individuals and specialized dealers, the collection has grown today to more than 1,450 pieces.Shop wholesale high low prom dresses from cheap corset and tulle wedding dresses wholesalers on DHgate and get worldwide delivery.

“Starting in 1973,The china wholesale bridesmaid dresses. What dress you wear? we created a department of archives to enable us to study the heritage of the maison,” Pierre Rainero, director of image, style and heritage at Cartier, said by telephone from Bangkok.

“Using those archives, we began collecting pieces that would best express what was most original and representative of the different stylistic facets of Cartier's production,” Mr. Rainero said.

Some pieces in the show are on loan from the Spanish royal family and the Principality of Monaco — among them the tiara worn by Queen Sofia of Spain during official ceremonies, and the diamond and ruby parure that Princess Grace is seen wearing in the official photographs of her 1956 wedding to Prince Rainier III.

The show begins its stylistic trajectory with pieces designed in the garland style, a remnant of the 19th century, that explores the motif of ribbons, entrelacs and acanthus swirls set in gold or silver-backed mounts.

At the turn of the 20th century, when many avant-garde designers had gravitated toward Art Nouveau, Cartier remained true to the garland.

“Louis Cartier loved the neoclassical style of garland jewelry, the style that his clientele of aristocrats preferred,” Pascale Lepeu, a curator of the Cartier Collection, said by telephone from Geneva.

Yet he was no stylistic reactionary: “At the same time, he designed the Santos, the first wristwatch for men,” Ms. Lepeu said.

The wristwatch, an exceptionally modern idea, expressed Louis Cartier's admiration for the purity of geometric forms.

“At the turn of the century, Louis Cartier was 25,” Mr.Find the perfect cheap mother of the bride dresses to wear. Rainero said. “He was looking for a style to mark his time and offer a potential for continuity. That is why he opted for the “Modern Style” at the expense of Art Nouveau — which he saw as an impasse.”

The Art Nouveau movement did turn out to be short-lived. The exhibition demonstrates how Cartier opted early for the geometric shapes that became the bases of Art Deco.

The Modern style is best featured in the show in an exceptional selection of precious objects like cigarette cases and vanity accessories.

Cartier's use of platinum, a new metal in jewelry, allowed the house to introduce lighter, more luminous settings by the turn of the century, opening up a wide range of previously unexplored design possibilities in a changing world.

“Heavier jewelry could no longer be worn at the end of the 19th century, as dress fabrics became lighter and hairdos came down,” Ms. Lepeu said.

In the second decade of the last century Louis Cartier and his brothers Pierre and Jacques traveled widely in Asia and the Middle East. In India, China and Egypt they found new clients, among them several Indian maharajahs, and precious materials, like Bahrain pearls. A result was the emergence of the exotic style that became known as Tutti Frutti, a richly chromatic blend of rubies, emeralds and sapphires.

An example of the Tutti Frutti style is the “Hindu necklace” commissioned in 1936 by Daisy Fellowes, then a fashion icon and the Paris editor of Harper's Bazaar, and later reworked for her daughter.

“The necklace was a collaboration between two strong women, Jeanne Toussaint and Ms. Fellowes, who wanted two Cartier necklaces she owned remounted as the Hindu necklace,” Ms. Lepeu said.

Ms. Toussaint, a legendary Cartier designer, is known for having developed the jeweler's flora and fauna-inspired styles, including the panther motif that is today a symbol of the house.

A beautiful tiny baby girl, Mae Viola Thompson was born to George Arthur and Caroline Thompson on May 2, 1920, on their farm in Hartland Township.

Mae was confirmed and baptized at the Hartland Lutheran Church in Hartland, attended country schools in both Hartland and Manchester townships and also Freeborn High School. Her Norwegian ancestors were of the people that built the churches of north Freeborn County.

Mae shared fond memories of her childhood and cold wintry sleigh rides home from grandparents, BertWe provide rental service on a variety of bridal gown wedding dress, qua and tuxedos, etc.ram and Betsy Sybilrud's farm, located north of Hartland, and also of picking raspberries and gooseberries as she walked through the woods of her grandmother Arslog Thompson Lee's farm, located on the north shore of Mule Lake.

Mae was an accomplished musician with the wonderful gift of being able to play anything she heard on the piano. Many fun evenings were spent gathered around her at the piano as she played while friends and family sang the popular tunes of the era. Her family's love of music, her great sense of humor, their strong Christian faith, believing in doing what was right and showing support for each other, brought her and her family through the Great Depression, World War II and life.

Mae married Harry O'Neal in 1937, and together they made Albert Lea their home until 1961. Because of Harry's promotion by Wilson and Co., the family relocated to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where their seventh child Rod was born. Mae called and wrote often to the friends and family she left behind in Minnesota, always expressing her love and concern for them. She and Harry always took time for their family and others, no matter how busy they were. Together she and Harry, who were married 64 1/2 years, made many trips with their family back to Minnesota to visit family.

She became a fantastic seamstress with the ability to design and sew for her children and neighbors, formals, wedding dresses, costumes, coats, sports wear, hats and whatever was needed.

As a member of First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, Mae taught Sunday school and sewed choir gowns. She and her husband, Harry, also sang in the adult choir and for weddings.

Her unquenchable thirst for knowledge had her constantly taking courses in philosophy and spirituality. She became a “student of life” who was found capable of channeling God's healing powers to those who believed. She obtained a master's degree in reiki healing. Mae helped many people by taking them into her home and also by sharing her knowledge of healing by faith, correct thought and proper nutrition. In her later years she spent much of her time in meditation and prayer, teaching her children and others to put the things we could not handle into God's hands,Looking for the ideal dress to wear for Halter Wedding Dresses? saying, “let go and let God” and “this too shall pass.” She was also a strong advocate of positive thinking, fairness, kindness, forgiveness and understanding.

She and her teachings will be in our hearts forever. Thank you, Mom.

Traditional bride: Kirsty, played by Natalie Gumede, turns up to her own wedding looking less than glamorous

Kirsty has clearly picked a strong purple colour scheme for her big day and it doesn't stop with the flowers and ribbons.

Everything is colour coded in purple, including the dresses for the bride and bridesmaids.

The chav levels get turned up a notch, however, as Kirsty also decides to wear a purple hoodie with her ugly getup in the cold weather.

Even her solitary bridesmaid Julie Carp looks better than her, despite the fact she wears her dress with a pair of purple trainers.

Husband to be Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, looks sharp in a grey suit with a pale gold tie ready to say 'I do' to his bride.

Village idiot and best man Kirk Sutherland also looks dapper in his wedding suit and keeps in line with the colour scheme by wearing a purple flower.

Brian Packham is charged with driving the bride to church in his clapped out rover which is nicely decorated with some violet ribbons.

Thankfully at least one guest is happy to try and make an effort with the dress code.

Eva Price, played by Catherine Tyldesley, squeezed her frame into a typically very short skirt and heels.

The blonde may not have added any elegance to proceedings but her presence at least brought some much needed glamour to proceedings.

Coronation Street plan on having two weddings this Christmas as Leanna Battersby will tie the knot with Nick Tilsley.

Catherine told the Daily Star: 'The hen night is hilarious. Eva basically gets Leanne completely plastered in the hope she won't get up in the morning.

'Not that we get to drink any real alcohol during filming. Eva is supposed to be on the white wine so I am actually drinking apple juice mixed with water.'

When you find the perfect wedding dress, you might feel like you want to wear it forever. But if you actually have to be sewn into it, you'll probably change your mind.

One bride, Samantha Shea, faced just such a situation, and turned it into a lawsuit. The zipper on Shea's wedding dress broke only an hour before the ceremony, so she paid two housekeepers at the Gansevoort Hotel to sew her into the gown, which kept her from using the bathroom for six hours.

Shea had originally paid Dalia Cohen, a seamstress, $600 to alter the dress. Cohen said that she replaced the original broken zipper on the dress. When the zipper split on Shea's wedding day, bridesmaid Joanne Zambuto called Cohen, who said she could make it to the hotel to fix the dress in two hours. But Shea elected to be sewn in instead.

Shea sued Cohen for breaching their oral agreement to alter the dress, requesting $1,000. Cohen said she was “devastated” by the incident, but said that the split zipper was a result of “nature,” and not her fault.

District Judge Gary Knobel found in favor of Shea,Online shopping for custom made designer oscar dresses 2012. and ordered Cohen to pay her $1,500.Looking for the ideal dress to wear for Halter Wedding Dresses? Matching outfits

A bride's wedding day is her finest opportunity to choose a dress that makes her feel like a princess; one she feels she could wear forever and that she has dreamed of for years. While grooms want to feel and look their best too, there's no need to try and merge the happy couple together to create a wedding eyesore. Couples who choose his and hers wedding outfits are surely asking to be ridiculed by their guests, as the ‘Britney and Justin' matching denim or ‘Posh and Becks' leather looks are simply not the ideal inspiration for a wedding. Fast food reception

For those couples with a smaller budget for their big day, they might not want to blow a large portion of it on food and drink for the wedding breakfast or canapés. While there are money-saving yet tasty options, such as a cold buffet or using the wedding cake as dessert, there's surely no need to have your wedding breakfast at a fast food restaurant chain. The gaudy red and yellow hues of McDonald's don't create the perfect backdrop for your wedding shots, nor does the cheesy grin of Colonel Sanders in KFC. You may laugh, but some couples have chosen these joints as the venue for their wedding meal. Our answer to a McDonald's wedding breakfast? We're not loving it.
