Fictitious friends and games of make-believe may be allowed on the playground at one Colorado elementary school, but imaginary weapons certainly are not.
The family of Alex Evans, a second-grade student at Mary Blair Elementary School in Loveland, learned that rule the hard way after the 7-year-old was suspended for throwing an imaginary grenade during recess.I knew I wanted alace short bridesmaids dress chinabefore I was even engaged.
"Honestly I don’t think the rule is very realistic for kids this age,Formalbridal gown wedding dresson sale at great discount." Evans' mother, Mandie Watkins, told KDVR.
Evans was playing a game of his own making, called "rescue the world,Shop the latestchiffon bridesmaid dresson the world's largest fashion site." when he tossed the imaginary grenade into a make-believe box filled with something evil, making explosion sound effects, the station reports.Tulle Straplesssimple plus size wedding dresses with short sleeveswith Tea-Length Pleated ...
The school's principal, Valerie Lara-Black, reportedly called Watkins Friday afternoon to inform her of Evans' suspension, confirming that the second-grader did not have anything in his hand at the time, according to the Loveland Reporter-Herald.
Under Thompson School District policy, school officials cannot comment on individual cases involving disciplinary issues. However, Mike Housemann, the district's public information officer, did tell The Huffington Post this incident is a "complicated issue" in terms of what happened and why.
Evans is not the only elementary school student to receive a real-life suspension for a make-believe act.
In January, a Pennsylvania kindergarten student was suspended for threatening to shoot her classmate, and then herself, with her pink "Hello Kitty" bubble gun. The 5-year-old did not have the toy gun with her when she made the remark.
A 6-year-old in Maryland also received a suspension in December after he allegedly made a gun gesture in school.
You can't put a price on happiness, so the saying goes. But tell that to your average wedding guest.
A recent survey has revealed that an average couple can expect to shell out more than a whopping 1,500 per year on attending weddings.
The survey, conducted by YouGov, revealed that individual Brits spent more than 750 to enjoy the nuptials of their nearest and dearest in 2012, with money going on parties, presents, accommodation and travel.
The findings also reveal that the average bridesmaid spends more than 732 per wedding and the average best man can blow 625!
The most generous guests were those aged 55 and over, spending more than 1,200 per year.Achina wholesale bridesmaid dressesis the clothing worn by a bride during a wedding ceremony.

As off today, there are 212 days left until the NFL season starts back up. In the meantime, the ROTB Writing Staff tackled three trending questions.
Don't forget to answer the questions yourself in the comments below!
1) With the Baltimore Ravens winning Superbowl 47, the immediate reaction from the 49ers organization has been to blame the Referees and their calls throughout the game. Are their claims justified, or is this just post-game denial? Alex Mann: Post Game denial. I will admit there was contact and a tug on the jersey, but there was also Offensive PI. Worst that would have happened was offsetting penalties giving the Niners a second chance. But looking back the ball appeared un-catch able.
Tyler Nickel: Honestly,Shop the latestchiffon bridesmaid dresson the world's largest fashion site. I haven't heard that much complaining after the game. Whatever was said would be a bit of denial, though. I liked that there was no flags thrown in that late play where Jim Harbaugh thought there should have been a holding call due to Crabtree getting held. I thought the game was officiated fairly and I like that the refs did not alter the outcome.
Jess Root: Well, the play was a penalty by the definition of the rules.AWedding gownis a style that many are using now!..but...if you had paid attention to the rest of the game,Tulle Straplesssimple plus size wedding dresses with short sleeveswith Tea-Length Pleated ... that was simply consistent with the way the game was called. If you haven't been calling like that the rest of the game, don't do it now.
2) Anquan Boldin, a former WR for the Cardinals, had a big game in the Superbowl, as he contributed to the score by adding 6 of his own. Which former Cardinals player do you miss the most?
Alex Mann: By far Boldin. We provide you the most beautiful gowns, such as cheap 100%Silk Dresses andRina di Montellaand so on. He's the one guy (outside of Kurt) we've had the hardest time replacing. First it was Breaston, than Doucet, now Roberts and Floyd. I'm glad he's got that ring though. He deserves it.
Tyler Nickel: I really miss Q. He was a guy that always gave it his all for the Cardinals, no matter what. He could have sat out for a really long time after he broke his jaw, but instead, he came back after two games. He was an incredible player, teammate, and person. I really miss him and would love to go back in time and veto that trade if I could.
Jess Root: That has still got to be Kurt Warner. Boldin was unhappy here,Achina wholesale bridesmaid dressesis the clothing worn by a bride during a wedding ceremony. and had se stayed and Warner been gone, he would have hated it.
3) What was your favorite Superbowl commercial? (Least favorite?)
Alex Mann: Favorite was the Taco Bell commercial with the elderly folks.
Tyler Nickel: Honestly, I didn't pay too much attention to the commercials this year. I liked the Doritos one with the dads that all start to dress up like women, including the bearded guy in the wedding dress. That was pretty funny. Kate Upton commercials are always a bonus, too.
Jess Root: I didn't pay much attention to the commercials. I went and either made or got food during breaks. But the Hyundai commercial with the kids lifting weights and saving people from fires was pretty good.

On Monday in Beverly Hills, more than 160 nominees gathered in the Beverly Hilton ballroom for the last big event of the awards season before Oscars night. The annual Nominees Luncheon is an opportunity for all of the honorees to meet each other over a breezy meal in Los Angeles.Actually it is quite flexible to choose the cheap maggie sottero wedding dress for you.
Each nominee is given a certificate recognizing his or her achievement in film and a coveted Academy Awards sweatshirt as a souvenir of their year. They also participate in the "class photo," which captures all of the nominees in attendance for one historic moment. The nominees won't all be in one room together again until Oscar night.
This year, the actors brought a lot of laughs and memorable quotes that made the media in interview room swoon and cheer for their favorite celebrities. SheKnows was there, and we have the inside scoop. It has a sexy Lace dress with short sleeves.
The first big celebrity to wake up the press in the room was the man of the awards season, Ben Affleck. Coming off of his DGA Awards win over the weekend, he entered to applause. When asked about the elephant in the room, no Best Director nod, Affleck took the whole snub in stride.
He said, "We got seven nominations, including Best Picture. I'm elated by that.Jovani designer 2013 evening dress and celebrity style evening gowns. I've had many, many years watching from home."
If the Argo director thinks he's going to win Best Picture, he doesn't seem overly confident. He said he's leaving any calculations to the "Oscarologists," who also want an increased number of Best Director nominees to match the number of Best Picture nominees.
From there,Go for a modern and romantic look in this chapel train gown evening gown. the room moved at a swift pace as nominee after nominee came in to greet the press and give their impressions of the awards season. Many of the ladies were asked about their dress choices for the big day, but it was Jessica Chastain of Zero Dark Thirty who gave the best answer.
She said, "Most little girls dreamed about their wedding dresses, but I always dreamed about my Oscar dress.Shop the latest Asymmetric neckline dress on the world's largest fashion ."
Jennifer Lawrence from Silver Linings Playbook said she might wear "sweatpants" but will probably "suck it up and wear a corset."
Although Anne Hathaway has had "no preparation" for her red-carpet gown yet, she mentioned that she enjoyed Sunday's Super Bowl and the "fried food" that goes along with the big sports day.
If you thought Hugh Jackman was going to cause the most swoon-worthy moment of the day, think again. It was Bradley Cooper who caused the ladies to squeal with delight when his name was announced and he walked into the room.
When asked if his role in Silver Linings Playbook was a career game changer for him, Cooper wittily replied, "I know that I wasn't here for The Hangover."
Also charming the room was 9-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis, nominated for Beasts of the Southern Wild, who brought her beloved puppy purse that has accompanied her to all of the red-carpet events this busy season.
The showstopper wound up being The Master nominee Amy Adams, who walked in with the quote of the day: "Sorry, you just interrupted my flirting with Bradley Cooper and Christoph Waltz."
She kept getting cut off by the hotel's intercom music and the announcer letting everyone know that the luncheon was about to begin. Adams kept the media in stitches while she plowed through each interrupted question.
Little saddens the Londoner more than when one half of a happy couple goes “off piste” for a year or two. George Taylor, aka “Gorgeous George”.
Jones, 28, believes “private school parents” such as George's “waste their money”. In 2011 he said: “Separating children on the basis of their parents' background denies children the chance to mix with others.”
But it seems Nick Clegg isn't the only closet fan of public school as Oxford-educated Jones reaches across the class divide. “George is spiffing,” says a chum. “Drop-dead gorgeous and poised for breakthrough as an actor.” And will the imminent introduction of gay marriage mean wedding bells for the “Upstairs, Downstairs” couple? “We're hoping so,” says their pal. “But don't ask quite yet whether the dress code will be top hats or flat caps and whippets.”
Coming up on 20 years of marriage, Ken and Ginette Dehne of Campbellford decided to renew their wedding vows recently - in a most unusual way.
The couple tied in their event with the annual Polar Bear Plunge on Jan. 26, taking to the icy waters of the Trent River in their wedding finery following a brief ceremony.
Ken, owner of Ken's Stereo for 30 years, said he and Ginette wanted to "drum up support for their local hospital" after participating in the plunge last year.Wanna to buy the new Off-Shoulder Wedding Dresses now?
The couple married June 26, 1993, at St. John's United Church.
The wedding party - the Dehnes, maid of honour Kim Ray and best man Earl McLean - arrived at the Lions park in a black stretch limousine.
Pastor Dave Stephenson of the Free Methodist Church performed a short ceremony and then the wedding party - including the pastor - all jumped into the river.
Ken said they were actually quite calm but the women were a little cold standing in their summer dresses.
The wedding party raised $2,418 before the event and another $300 with the wishing well at the plunge. A dance was held later on that night and even more funds were collected.

Two women are speaking out about wedding dresses they consigned a year ago with a shop in Haverhill. Now they say there is no sign of the owner and they can't tell if their dresses are still there.
“They were very beautiful dresses. They were silk and a lot of beading,” said Lynn Crisci.
“It makes me feel a little like you're wedding day, you have so many emotions going through you and they're not happy emotions,” said Sara Lavado.
The dresses cost thousands.
“Nobody returned any of our phone calls or emails and every time we went to the shop no one was there,” said Crisci.

These women want their dresses back so they went to police.
“The business owner -- we don't know where she is. We believe she's out of state, but we don't know for sure,” said Dep. Chief Donald Thompson of the Haverhill police department.

“We can't go in and take the property. It's a civil matter and there's no crime here. We feel bad for the people that have the dresses in there,” said Thompson.
Police said the matter is about contracts and right now no “criminal act” has been committed. Police are urging people who have had problems with the shop to contact the attorney general's office.
“I'm very frustrated and you just feel like you got taken,” said Lavado.
“I wish the business owner no ill will. I just hope that everyone gets their merchandise back,” said Crisci.
The Massachusetts Attorney General's Office told 7News they received two complaints from customers who have done business with the Haverhill consignment shop.

“It's a lot of fun,” said Bailley, his neck weighed down with Mardi Gras beads. “It's never a dull moment.”
Some owners spared no expense. Or did they? The Gucci coat on one bull dog attracted quite a bit of attention. A closer inspection by one disappointed onlooker revealed the truth, however: “It's a knockoff,'' she said, laughing.
It seemed a dog of every breed was strutting its stuff Sunday.
Chester, a 5-year-old black Great Dane, owned by Don Hecks, 33, of Eureka, was making his third parade appearance.
“They need more dog adventures throughout the country,” said Heck as he proudly walked Chester, who was wearing a tutu with his large paws spray-painted gold. One guy hollered over and said Chester was a cross-dresser.

After spending the day at the nail spa and the pub for lunch we started to doubt our chances for making it into town to join the rest of the guests.
Guests were travelling from all over, including one couple making the trip from New York only to be stopped at Sydney Airport unable to fly in to Rocky.
There was a bridesmaid in Rocky, myself and another bridesmaid in Gracemere, and a bridesmaid and groomsmen at Brisbane Airport trying to get flights to Mackay so they could drive to Rockhampton and make it just in time.
Late Friday night we were all strategising how we could get the bride and groom across the floodwater,Shop the latestoff shoulder dresson the world's largest fashion site. we even considered taking a family member's tinny across.

Late afternoon was approaching and the road was still closed due to road inspections.

Sex sells. Babies sell even more. And advertisers are hoping animals will make you laugh all the way to their stores.
While the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens battle on the field during Super Bowl XLVII, marketers from Best Buy to M&M to Toyota are competing against each other on advertising's biggest stage. And they're doing so by pulling out the most persuasive tools of their trade.
The stakes are high, with 30-second spots going for as much as $4 million this year. And more than 111 million viewers are expected to tune in.
Here are some ad highlights from the first half:
— Car ads focused on families: Hyundai's "Epic Playdate" spot right before kickoff showed a family partying with the band The Flaming Lips: wreaking havoc at a natural history museum, getting chased by bikers, going to a petting zoo and playing in a park.
"Make every day epic with the new seven-passenger Santa Fe," a voiceover states.
